First there was Mariela and Tania (Colombia) in Ohio.
Then Doug (U.S.) in Boston. Doug lives nearby (although I can never quite make it to his house--or anywhere in Boston for that matter--without getting lost).
Gaudence, Leonce and kids Alice, Chris, and Olivier (Rwanda) live in Amherst and we had several visits in Boston and in Amherst.
I also reconnected with Tomi (Japan) who I hadn't seen for more than 10 years. She lives in North Carolina, but I saw her name on a flyer for a talk at Harvard and got in touch during her visit to Cambridge.
