We thought that nothing could beat the fountains in front of the UN, but it seems they have met their match--les Bains de Paquis. It's a public bathing spot on Lake Geneva in downtown Geneva. It's like a pier jutting out into the lake and has a beautiful view of the Jet d'Eau and mountains and passing boats. Needless to say, Alex was thrilled. Although the lake was a bit cold, he couldn't be dissuaded from splashing and swimming with the swans until he almost turned blue.
The summer evening light is spectacular and energizing.
And if it's a clear day, you can even see Mont Blanc across the lake.
