Christmas finally arrived and Santa found his way to Alex in Ferney Voltaire even before Christmas Eve!
On the 24th, we drove to Valence in France to celebrate with our friends Eugenia, Gerald, Camilla and Esteban. We had a lovely traditional French dinner with Gerald's extended family, including, champagne and canapes, foie gras, oysters, chicken with potatoes au gratin, lots of wine, cheese, a Christmas cake (buche de Noel) and coffee. I don't think anything was missing!
The next day we ate more (the highlights were pumpkin soup with scallops, lobster tails, and of course more cheese and another Christmas cake). On Friday it was sunny and a perfect day for sledding!
