Alex got two birthday celebrations. The first was a week early while his grandparents were here from the U.S. We just had a get-together behind the apartment building with friends and a cake.
The second celebration was on his actual birthday (he didn't seem to realize that there was anything unusual about celebrating his birthday and getting presents twice). We went to Swiss Vapeur Parc and rode miniature trains, then went to a community rummage sale in Evian where Alex got to pick even more birthday presents, and then to a great beach on the lake in Excevenex. Alex is very proud to be four and we are very proud of him too.
