Alex has now made his first visit to Africa ex utero (the first two being in utero to DRC and Angola). We went to Tunis to visit our Burundian friends Gaudence, Leonce and Olivier, and experience a bit of North African / Mediterranean culture. The visits to the Tunis medina, Bardo Museum, Carthage / Antonine Baths, Hammamet, Bizerte, and Raf Raf beach were amazing.
Alex thought it was very funny that strange men would come up on the street and kiss him. I guess it what just a cultural thing--little boys are appreciated and spoiled. All the kissing in the medina simply wore him out.
