We've been planning a visit to Italy to meet Marina's family for years and we finally did it. We stayed in her mom's town, Formia, in between Naples and Rome. Since Marina is an native Napolitana, of course the Naples city tour, complete with authentic Napolitana pizza, was a real highlight.
Marina's family was very, very big. It felt like we were on a movie set with a steady stream of visiting cousins, kids, more cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and...Alex was in heaven. I was honored to share my birthday with 6-year old Nico.
Spent out last two days going to beaches and, of course, eating more gelato.
