We finally made it to Lyon. It's only 1.5 hours away and the NY Times Frugal Traveler convinced us that we would enjoy it, so we set off on a weekend adventure. We didn't quite get to take advantage of the gastronomic wonders that Lyon offers, but we did lots of other fun things and, as usual, found nice parks. (It wasn't a complete let-down since Roque and I went back a couple of weeks later alone to eat and rest.)
