The Swiss call it the desalpe and the French call it the retour des alpages. Either way, it involves cows, accordions, tight leather pants, cows, sausages, and more cows. Today we went to the fall cow festival in Annecy.
Despite the rain, it was one of the best festivals we'd ever been to.
The gendarmes weren't part of the cow round-up, but their motorbikes were pretty cool.
