We had a relatively calm holiday weekend with three holiday meals (two Italian and one American) with old and new friends from the U.S., Switzerland, Canada, Morocco, Ireland, Denmark, Italy, Nigeria, Russia, and China. Around here that would be a relatively normal mix of nationalities but I am still consciously grateful to be a part of such a multinational, multicultural, multilingual environment.
