It started snowing today while we were in a nicely heated swimming pool at the Bains de Cressy. The snow inspired a Christmas cookie baking session. I used my grandmother's recipe for spritz cookies, but they more or less melted on the pan (must've been the metric conversion). After licking the beaters, Alex went to play in the snow with some school buddies. He worked up a great appetite and ate a heaping plate of steaming mussels when he returned
