I can't remember if Alex has ever celebrated the 4th of July. Years 1 and 2, he was in Brazil on the 4th on two separate trips. Years 3 and 4 we were here in Geneva and didn't manage to find a celebration. So, yep, this was his first. The rather small event took place in the Parc des Bastions, under the watchful eyes of the Calvinist Reformers statues and in the presence of President Obama.
Alex and his friend Tarik participated in a 3-legged race and had some watermelon.
