This is the second time this year that Alex has been lucky enough to have all four of his grandparents with him. Grandma and Papa (the Thompsons) arrived a few days before George and Vovo returned to Brazil, making it one big party for all of us.
Our first joint adventure was to Annecy and Yvoire. Had a nice boat ride and stroll through the medieval towns.

One of the highlights of the trip (and maybe even of the year!) was when Alex found a wig in Grandma's purse (what was that wig doing in there?!) and put it on and surprised all of us.
The next day we braved the rain and went to Lausanne and Montreux. The clouds broke and we had a lovely day. Alex even got to ride his first horse on the shores of Lake Geneva.
On Sunday we had a feijoada at our house and then Amy and (Tio) Theo visted from Amsterdam and we all went to Bains de Paquis for a lovely afternoon just hanging out and enjoying the company.
Alex even invented a fun new game: plate ball. Equipment needed: a ball and two plates.
